On Me Being a Moron

I transferred the stole chart to excel so that I could change it a bit to reflect the stitch count changes I made for the stole and also to change some of the symbols to make them clearer for myself. When I did this, I left out a YO and k2tog. It is an obvious mistake and I am heartily ashamed of myself for not having noticed immediately. Apparently because I have the IQ of a rotting guava, I waited until I finished 6 repeats to find it

To frog or not to frog, that is the question. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look at it again if I just finish as is, but can’t seem to face frogging over 300 rows.

I think I’m going to do a sock tonight.

  1. Rotting guavas do NOT come even close to having your IQ. Guavas are notoriously bad at using excel. In fact, I'd venture to say that most people wouldn't be able to transfer anything to excel, so you're a hero, not a loser..and ....you ...should probably frog it because you'll always see it there looming at you, even though no one else would probably notice.

Have you seen Becoming Jane? I was disappointed.

  2. hi! thanks for coming over and perusing my blog. I know the post they used for Yarnival was almost a year old, geeeze, time flies- but that was the most 'passion' filled post I had. Sad,yes? Anyhoo, are you really in Switzerland? wow. I'd like to hear the story about that.

  3. Frogging lace is not pretty. I am teaching a lace class this month and have been thinking about how to introduce these poor souls to the concept. Lifelines are good, but still...

  4. I just had a similar quandary over whether or not I should frog a sweater due to mistakes I made--I've decided that from now on, if I'm not going to feel proud/pleased with my finished item, then it's silly to put the time into making it!

Frogging lace is never fun, but it's the end product that you'll have long term. Maybe take lots of pretty photos before you do it? That way you'll have both!
